Unless something changes I can see this instance being relatively deserted while those who want the reward will simply farm the new Dol Dinen skirmish instead. At the moment, you can run this and not get one of the marks for the necklace to drop. But there has to be a connect between difficulty and reward. Honestly, I've got no problem with difficult content.
FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION SLIDERS PLUS
The volume of ads (a number of which were ranged) plus all the soldiers resulted in positioning being almost impossible. Tried this as a 6-man and it was absolute chaos. I understand that some people want challenge and that is okay, but the challenge should be in tiers 2 and 3, Tier 1 should be easy and fun, this is just frustrating and that is not my idea of fun at all. So, altough my "goal" is to complete all encounter deeds in all skirmishes across all my characters, and I always kill the end boss if I have killed my needed encounter near the end (if I get two in the beginning and I don't need them, I might end the skirmish), with these two new skirmishes I am NOT killing end bosses anymore until devs tweak these skirmishes to same level as others are, because it's not worth it.

FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION SLIDERS TV
And that doesn't normally happen when I run skirmishes unless I totally lose my focus (watching TV etc). brutal), I think I died at least once in both skirmishes with all characters.

While I completed both skirmishes with all 9 classes, except Icy Crevasse with my Burglar + Archer -combo (no healing and when sorcerer and mammoth crits on me. Not that I want them to be that easy but like title says, some sliders are clearly set too high. Attack at Dawn last boss can be deadly, and Icy Crevasse fight is ridiculously hard, compared to for example Battle in the Tower -fight where you can actually go AFK and let Broin and your soldier do the job. Definetely these two are much more difficult than any other skirmish at T1, especially if you don't have healer (class or soldier). Perhaps with a sage or archer it would be easier (or a herbalist to keep me alive!)Īll right, now I have ran both Attack at Dawn and The Icy Crevasse skirmishes with all nine classes at lvl 65, solo, T1. I think I could maybe do it if I use the vents properly but it would still be very tough. They damage more quickly than she can heal herself, which doesn't happen in normal PVE except against fire mobs. I think she just doesn't have the burst damage to get the mobs down. Normally they mow through mobs but I think the problem is that I mainly play her by pulling everything and doing a combo of protections skills, morale drains & heals. Not sure why it was so much harder on my Warden who runs with a maxed out warrior pet. Might just be my imagination but that does seem to be the case. If I heal through a flank not in the + healing zone then it heals for much less than it does in PVE, ditto healing potions. There seems to be a hidden healing penalty if you aren't actually on a vent.

I just ran it on my LM main with maxed out Archer pet, used the vents & it was hard (had to blow wisdom of the council on the final boss fight) but I didn't die. Trouble at Tuckborough is about as hard as a T1 skirmish should be in my opinion. I do like a challenge now and again and have been known to persist at something until my gear all falls off - but in general I want a tier 1 skirmish to be do-able. If I want a huge challenge with a skirmish then I'll run one on a higher tier. I'm pretty good at soloing her and I probably could have taken the bosses if I'd kept trying (I managed one of them but they both respawned when the other killed me) and worked out which skills I needed to fire off when in order to survive. Now, I never normally even need to hit a healing potion in a skirmish on that warden, in fact, I only had low level ones equipped in my hotkeys at first because it had been so long since I'd needed one. She died twice on the North Downs skirmish and four times on this Forochel one (one to a bleed from the sabre tooth encounter and three to the end bosses) then I gave up and decided it just wasn't worth it. I ran them on my Warden who is my second main and has second age weapons & the best gear she can get as a soloer (I have SM crafters in everything). I have three characters with maxed out skirmish soldiers, plus well levelled ones on most of the other characters, so I'm not a skirmish novice! Just tried these two new skirmishes for the first time tonight.
